Ingredients:
- 1/4 fresh butter or margarine
- 300 grams . sugar
- 4-5 eggs
- 1 kg hard flour
- 1 tsp crushed mastic
- a little salt
- 1 Tbsp machlepi
- 1 cup warm milk
- 50 grams of fresh yeast
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
- For the garnish :
- white and black sesame seeds
- 100 grams . chopped almonds
Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water . Pour in bowl of mixer flour, melted butter , yeast , eggs , mastic , salt, machlepi and sugar and knead for a long time to become a resilient, smooth dough . Leave about two hours , covered in a warm place to rise and double in volume.Then knead again . Shape into buns . Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with a little flour. Place inside the buns and leave them covered with a towel to rise for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. With egg yolks coat the outer surface and sprinkle with almonds and sesame seeds . Bake in preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 45 until browned .
