Little Meat Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1,5 teacup grated onion
  • 2 thick slices stale bread or nut thoroughly soaked or breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 kg beef ground  
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teacup oliveoil
  • 1 tblspn vinegar
  • 2 tblsps chopped parsley psilikommeno
  • 2 tblspns chopped mint
  • 1 tblspn oregano
  • salt
  • flour for winding
  • olive oil for frying
  • pepper
In a large bowl add the onion, the minced meat, the parsley, the mint, the oregano the salt and pepper (as desired) and mix with the help of a spoon or knead with your hand. If we use bread or nut remove all excess water and add or simply add the breadcrumbs and stir well. Break the eggs into the mixture, and add the olive oil and vinegar and stir well. Allow the mixture to rest for half an hour, preferably in the refrigerator.
Shape into small meatballs and roll them in a plate with flower. Add oil in the pan and when it is hot, add the meatballs and lower the heat. Fry on both sides and you are ready to serve!
