Mashed Beans


Ingredients:
  • 500 gr dried beans
  • 4 tblspns margarine
  • 1/2 teacup milk
  • 1 tblspn paprika pepper
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 onion minced
  • 1 clove of garlic minced



Wash the beans and put them in a saucepan with plenty of cold water to soak for 12 hours. The next day boil the beans for about 5 minutes and drain . Pour water into the pot again and put them again to boil until they are tender and drain . Peel the onion and garlic and mix put them in a food processor. Grind the beans in small amounts in a food processor. In a saucepan add the margarine and when it is hot, add the paprika pepper and the pepper, add the minced onion and garlic , saute for 2 minutes and add the mashed beans , salt and a little bit lukewarm milk . Stir quickly to prevent the mix from sticking. When the mix becomes smooth remove from heat. Serve with meat , fish or chicken.
