Octopus Pilaf

Ingredients:
  • 1 octopus ( about 1 pound ) , cut into pieces
  • 1 pound ripe tomatoes , peeled , chopped
  • 1/2 pound sliced ​​onions
  • 1 teacup olive oil
  • 2 tblspns oregano
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 teacup rice
  • salt and pepper

Wash the octopus and cut into pieces slightly. You put in a saucepan with the onion , the oil, the oregano , the nutmeg and half a glass of water . Boil over low heat until it is smooth . When it is almost done , add the tomatoes , the remaining water , the rice , the salt and pepper and simmer them all together. Serve it warm.
