Fried Mullets


Ingredients:

  • 1kg mullets
  • 1/2 teacup ouzo 
  • 1 1/2 teacup flour 
  • salt 
  • olive oil for frying 
  • 1/2 teacup fresh lemon juice





Peel the mullets, wash them well, let them drain and sprinkle them with ouzo. Then roll them in salt and flour in a plate and fry them in a pan with olive oil until they reach a golden brown colour. Serve while they are still hot and sprinkle with lemon juice as a topping.
