Loucoumia (Little Jello Treats)

Ingredients:


  • 1700 gr sugar
  • 1 tblspn gelatin powder 
  • 1 teaspn grated mastic
  • 1/2 teacup rosewater 
  • 2 teasp vanilla powder 
  • 1 teacup cornflour
  • 5 & 1/2 teacups water 
  • 2 teacups caster sugar 







Dissolve the cornflour in a teacup filled with water. Add all the ingredients together in a cooking and let them boil at low temperature, stirring slowly with the help of a spoon until the mixture thickens. Pour the mixture in an oblong baking pan, let it cool, and refrigerate it for 10 hours. Sprinkle with caster sugar, cut into cubes and roll into caster sugar again. Your jelo treats are ready to enjoy after lunch or excellently accompany tea or coffee.
